*The Civil Air Patrol Foundation Seeking Qualified Trustees* The Civil Air Patrol Foundation is embarking on a strategic growth plan and its leadership is interested in identifying qualified strategic individuals to fill a few vacant trustee positions to champion the building of an endowment for the purposes of supporting cadet scholarships and the advancement of aerospace education, among other CAP programs and missions. Foundation assets have grown 700% in the last 18 months. The Purpose of the Civil Air Patrol Foundation: shall be to promote and support Civil Air Patrol its programs and mission; provide direct financial support to Civil Air Patrol and its programs, missions and operations; and provide scholarships to members of Civil Air Patrol. Qualifications The Board of Trustees shall carefully consider each proposed candidate and their ability/talent to successfully: • assist the long-term financial stability of Civil Air Patrol • provide leadership for fundraising including the endowment fund • promote the activities and programs of Civil Air Patrol nationally and internationally. Trustee Term The Elected Trustees shall serve for a three (3) year term, which may be extended, by the Board, beyond their original appointment. Trustees need not be residents of the State of Alabama.
